Injury updates on two key Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans are drawing a crowd at the annual owners meetings. Head coach Brian Callahan discussed a variety of topics, including Cam Ward and the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. One of the more interesting discussions surrounded the health status of cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and center Lloyd Cushenberry, both of whom suffered season-ending injuries in 2024.
Sneed specifically suffered a peculiar and persistent quad injury that never went away, ultimately ending his season. “Sneed should definitely be ready for camp,” Callahan told Titans reporters. “He’s moving right along in the rehab process. He’s been around the building and trying to prove he’s still one of the best corners in football.”

Sneed appeared in just five games with the Titans after being acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs in a blockbuster trade for a 2025 third-round pick. Sneed allowed just nine receptions and a quarterback rating of 74.9, according to Pro Football Focus. His coverage metrics remained inconsistent, however, and he was tagged with a lackluster grade of 36.8.
The Titans will be even more reliant on Sneed in 2025 after releasing fellow 2024 offseason acquisition Chido Awuzie earlier this month. Sophomore corner Jarvis Brownlee Jr. will serve as the boundary starter opposite Sneed. Brownlee Jr. was forced into the lineup as a rookie due to injuries, but he’ll be considered a full-time starter moving forward.
Things were less certain with Cushenberry. Callahan said he’s “hopeful” the starting center will be ready for the start of training camp. Cushenberry is recovering from a serious season-ending Achilles injury. The Titans plan to be patient with his recovery given the severity.

Cushenberry was signed to a lucrative four-year contract worth $50 million by previous general manager Ran Carthon. Cushenberry earns a sizable $12.5 million annually. He appeared in eight games before going down with a brutal injury.
The Titans re-signed veteran center Corey Levin earlier this offseason. Callahan expressed confidence in him to begin the season at center if Cushenberry isn’t ready. Levin played 133 snaps for the Titans throughout 2024.
