The Titans have already ruled out Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons for Week 16 due to a knee injury.
Well, it’s now been confirmed that Simmons will miss the rest of the 2023 regular season.
Simmons has been placed on injured reserve. That’ll end his season since the Titans (5-9) have been eliminated from playoff contention.
In 12 games this season, Simmons had 44 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

There’s no simple solution to replacing Simmons. We’re talking about a player who has produced at an elite level since 2021.
As long as Simmons doesn’t suffer any setbacks, he should be the face of Tennessee’s defense in 2024. After all, he’s under contract through the 2027 season.
That said, Tennessee will need Denico Autry, Quinton Bohanna and Marlon Davidson to step up in the meantime. Their first test is this Sunday against the Seahawks.
