During his press availability at the NFL combine, new general manager Mike Borgonzi spoke about the Tennessee Titans holding the No. 1 pick.
While Borgonzi would not discuss specific prospects or provide detailed information on the plan for the future, he did open up about free agency and roster building.

“In the media, for sure,” Borgonzi stated on the pick. “Any time you have the No. 1 pick, it’s going to be a topic of conversation.”
He followed that with, “We’ve had some phone calls. Yeah, and I’ll keep those phone calls to the vest,” when asked about other teams inquiring about the selection.
This should come as no surprise. Rumors surrounding the Titans and their potential desire to trade back have been all over the media in recent weeks. Of course, at this point before free agency, any statement concerning the pick is nothing more than speculation.
One thing is certain: There will likely be more phone calls in the coming weeks. Everyone will find out in April if any of the calls were worth taking.
