After taking Liberty star Malik Willis in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Titans’ quarterback room became a bit crowded. The AFC South franchise released a veteran quarterback on Saturday night, as a result.
According to NFL insider Field Yates, the Titans have released veteran quarterback Kevin Hogan.
Hogan, a former Stanford star, was taken in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was released at the start of the following season, only to get picked up by the Cleveland Browns, where he spent the next two seasons. He’s also had stops with Washington, Denver, Cincinnati and then Tennessee.
Hogan spent the majority of the 2021 season on the Titans’ practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the organization on Jan. 24 of this year.

Now with Willis in the mix, the Titans no longer have a need for the veteran Hogan. He’s been released and will now try and find a new home.
Hogan has appeared in nine games during his NFL career. He has a 59.4 career completion percentage with 621 yards, four touchdowns and seven picks.
