Coming off a bye, the Tennessee Titans will be breaking in a new starting quarterback this Sunday.
With veteran starter Ryan Tannehill expected to be out with an ankle injury, Tennessee will start rookie second-round pick Will Levis, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It will be Levis’ first career start, as well as his NFL regular season debut.
“With Ryan Tannehill (ankle) likely out, coach Mike Vrabel said both Levis and Malik Willis would play. But Levis is expected to be the primary QB,” Rapoport tweeted.

It was Willis, the second-year pro out of Liberty, who relieved an injured Tannnehill during the Titans’ 24-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in London on Oct. 15.
Willis completed 4-of-5 passes for 74 yards and rushed for 17 yards on three carries, but was also sacked four times. The former third-round pick appeared in eight games and made three starts as a rookie in 2022.
Levis, the No. 33 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, will get his first NFL crack against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday. Tennessee (2-4) has lost two games in a row and is currently in last place in the AFC South.
