It is going to be an interesting March.
Matthew Berry wrote an article he titled 25 most interesting things he heard at the 2025 NFL Combine today. There were a few interesting things about the Tennessee Titans in there:
- He has the Titans at least tangentially linked to Aaron Rodgers. Berry says that Rodgers is looking at the New York Giants and the Titans. Now, what he doesn’t say there is what the interest level is from the Titans’ side of things. Of the veteran quarterback options out there, Rodgers is the least appealing to me. I’m not sure if he can even still play, but you know that he will bring drama on some level with him wherever he goes.
- Berry says the Titans have interest in Sam Darnold – but not enough interest in him to trade for him. I don’t hate the idea of the Titans bringing Darnold in as long as it is on a short-term deal that doesn’t handicap the salary cap in future years.
- He heard everyone came away very impressed with Cam Ward. That’s good for the Titans on two fronts – one they take him with the first overall pick because they are convinced that he can be the franchise guy – or two it drives up the value of the first overall pick for a trade.
- Some people did not come away impressed with Shedeur Sanders. Take that for what you will because everyone is lying all the time right now to further their interests in the draft. It could be people trying to drive down Sanders’s value so he falls to them in the draft, or it could be that he was disinterested in the meetings that took place. Who knows?
