The Titans made a pair of additions before Thursday’s training camp practice
The Tennessee Titans made a pair of additions to the 90 man roster before Thursday’s training camp practice. General manager Ran Carthon signed a familiar face in center Corey Levin, sources confirmed. The Titans also added veteran pass rusher Shane Ray, according to A to Z Sports, who spotted him in attendance.

Levin initially joined the Titans as the organization’s sixth-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Tennessee before leaving in 2019. Levin reunited with the Titans in 2021, and had spent the better portion of the previous three seasons with the team. His contract expired earlier this year in March, and he’d been a free agent ever since.
The Titans entered training camp without a clear-cut solution at backup center behind free-agent signing Lloyd Cushenberry. Last year’s starting right guard Daniel Brunskill practiced at center throughout OTAs and minicamp. Brunskill was absent from Wednesday’s practice with a sickness, but returned on Thursday.
Brunskill’s return to the practice field didn’t prevent the Titans from signing Levin. A legitimate competition may take place at backup center. Brunskill is not guaranteed a 53-man roster spot.
The Titans previously worked Ray out during rookie minicamp in May. The veteran pass rusher spent a portion of the 2023 offseason with the Buffalo Bills. It’s worth noting head coach Brian Callahan was with the Denver Broncos in an offensive assistant role during Ray’s rookie season (2015). Wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert was also on that staff.
OLB Shane Ray is on the practice field today in No. 59. #Titans have signed him.

The Titans are in desperate need of depth pass rushers behind Harold Landry III and Arden Key. Landry missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness, so it’s possible Ray is simply a camp body. He’ll attempt to contend with Thomas Rush, Caleb Murphy, Khalid Duke, and Jaylen Harrell for a back-end-of-roster role.
