With the addition of Boyle, the Titans now have three quarterbacks on the roster – Will Levis, Brandon Allen, and Boyle. It’s pretty interesting that we spent a lot of time talking about the veteran quarterbacks the Titans could sign heading into free agency. Not once did we mention Allen or Boyle. That’s because the assumption was they would bring someone in to compete with Levis. Neither of the guys they have signed have any chance to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
This could mean that they are planning on trading Levis before draft night and taking Cam Ward with the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In that scenario, Ward is without a doubt the day one starter with Allen and Boyle battling it out in camp to be the backup.
It could also mean that they aren’t going to take Ward, and these three guys are going to battle it out in camp to be the starter. That seems way less likely, because like I said, neither Allen nor Boyle is a legitimate threat to be the week one starter.
