Titans fill hole at safety after injury to Quandre Diggs.
Quandre Diggs suffered a season-ending foot injury in the Tennessee Titans win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. That left the Titans with a hole at the safety position. Mike Brown filled in pretty well for Diggs on Sunday, but the Titans needed help at the position. It was reported this morning by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that they are signing veteran safety Mike Edwards:
Veteran safety Mike Edwards is on his way to Tennessee to sign with the #Titans pending physical, per source.

Edwards was granted his release on Tuesday from the Buffalo Bills. He appeared in just three games for Bills making one tackle. Edwards was a third-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in the 2019 NFL Draft. He had a stop with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023 before joining the Bills this season. He has 8 interceptions and 236 tackles in his 5+ years in the league.
Brown and Edwards will now battle it out to see who gets the starting safety spot opposite Amani Hooker.
