Borgonzi was a longtime member of the Chiefs front office and played an integral part in helping the Chiefs rise to the pinnacle of the NFL. Hired in 2009, he rose through the ranks within the Chiefs organization from administrator of college scouting all the way up to assistant general manager.
According to reports, Borgonzi was influential in cementing the deal between the Titans and Chiefs during the 2024 offseason in which Tennessee acquired cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. Giving him an early indication of the atmosphere he will be joining in Nashville.
Borgonzi inherits the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft and will be tasked with improving a depleted roster that has numerous holes.
