This just feels weird.
Brian Callahan announced today that the Tennessee Titans will place L’Jarius Sneed on injured reserve tomorrow. The move comes after he ahs already missed five games with a quad injury. Football is not like baseball where you can place someone on IR retroactively. That means Sneed will have to miss at least the next four games. Callahan said he would not rule out a return this year. I think it’s pretty safe to say we have seen the last of Sneed this year.
You might remember that the Titans sent a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs for Sneed. What a disaster that trade has been in year one.
The Titans will also place linebacker Jack Gibbens on IR tomorrow. He suffered a nasty leg injury in last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Jerome Baker was finally able to get on the field after Gibbens got hurt.
