Only days away, the Tennessee Titans are descending on Indianapolis to continue their NFL draft preparations. The combine will be the first time the Titans will have a chance to meet with some top prospects, including quarterback Cam Ward, who has become a fan favorite.
This is also a great time for analysts to drop their pre-combine mock drafts and make their best guess on how the NFL draft in April will play out. Some of these experts even try to throw trades into the mix.
The team at Pro Football Network did that with their latest seven-round mock, with the Titans trading out of the top spot in a deal with the New York Giants.
In the deal, the Titans received the third overall pick from the Giants, as well as pick 34 in Round 2 and New York’s 2026 second-round selection.
3) Tennessee Titans (Trade from NYG)
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
After trading back, the Titans landed the rarest draft prospect we’ve ever seen. Hunter will likely play more cornerback than receiver in the NFL, but Tennessee effectively kills two birds with one stone with Hunter. His range, hip mobility, and instincts are that of a future All-Pro.
34) Tennessee Titans (Traded From NYG)
Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
From their trade with the Giants earlier, the Titans were afforded the chance to double-dip early in the second round. Tennessee has gradually rebuilt its offensive line with blue-chip talent, but they need a significant upgrade at right tackle. Enter Aireontae Ersery, who can start right away opposite JC Latham.
35) Tennessee Titans
Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
Landon Jackson isn’t as exciting as other EDGE prospects in this class, but he would bring a fierce and powerful presence to their defensive line. Jackson anchors well against the run and can be a productive defender on early downs.
With three top needs knocked out in the first two rounds with the additions of Hunter, Ersery, and Jackson, Tennessee then looked to build depth throughout the organization with the remainder of their selections.
Pro Football Network had them selecting UNLV wide receiver Ricky White IV (102), Clemson linebacker Barrett Carter (119), Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord (142), Oklahoma safety Billy Bowman Jr. (168), Ohio State defensive tackle Ty Hamilton (180) and Boise State edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein (241).
In this mock, the Titans addressed major needs along the offensive line, edge, quarterback, and wide receiver and added some depth to the roster. Will it play out this way? We will all find out during the NFL draft in April.
