Ernest, we hardly knew ye!
It is being reported that the Tennessee Titans are trading linebacker Ernest Jones IV to the Seattle Seahawks for linebacker Jerome Baker and a fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft. Jones spent less than two months in Nashville. The Titans officially traded for him back on August 28th. They sent a fifth-round pick and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2026 draft to the Los Angeles Rams for him. So, I guess in the end they traded those picks for Jerome Baker and a fourth this year.
Baker was a third-round pick by the Miami Dolphins back in 2018. The Seahawks signed him to a 1-year deal before this season. He has appeared in 5 games this season and has one sack.
Jones was a solid addition here but was very expendable now that this season is going nowhere and he is in the last year of his contract.
The Titans sent DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier today for a fifth-round pick that could become a fourth. Ran Carthon/Chad Brinker are really bulking up day three of next year’s draft.
