Can the Titans go to Chicago and get a win?
Brian Callahan makes his NFL head coaching debut tomorrow when the Tennessee Titans take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The Titans are 3.5-point underdogs at FanDuel. Both the Titans and Bears are coming off an undefeated preseason.
The nation will be watching #1 overall pick Caleb Williams in this one. He will try to become the first #1 overall quarterback to win his first game since David Carr all the way back in 2002. New Titans DC Dennard Wilson is certainly going to have some blitz packages drawn up to try and force Williams into some mistakes.
I like the Titans to win this game outright. The Bears are going to be a pretty good team, but it’s an advantage for Tennessee to get them early in the season.
The other thing to keep an eye on is when the Titans finally break the 30-point barrier. They haven’t hit that number since January 2, 2022 – that is two full seasons! I don’t think they get it here because the Bears have a good defense, but it will happen before the calendar turns to October.
Prediction:
Titans 27 Bears 24
