Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks recently took a take-it-or-leave-it attitude when asked about the possibility of adding star pass catcher DeAndre Hopkins.
With D-Hop’s upcoming visit to Nashville on the horizon, the second-year wideout shared his thoughts on the possible free-agent addition.
“That’s something that I can’t control,” Burks said. “He’s an awesome player, great player. Would be fun to play with him. So if we ended up getting him, we get him. If we don’t, we don’t. No offense to him. He’s a great player. But I like playing with who we have here, so.”

Following his rookie season with the Titans, Burks is looking to make a jump in the wide receiver pecking order. As the current depth chart stands, 2022 first-round pick is entering the 2023 season as WR1 — something that would certainly change with the addition of Hopkins.
While Burks is happy with the current roster, he did admit that Hopkins could serve as a great mentor for him.
“He would be a great mentor,” he continued. “You know, I’ve watched D-Hop since I was younger. One of my favorite players. He carries himself the right way. And his game on the field speaks for itself.”
