Today’s decision to bench Russell Wilson has seemingly started in motion the end of Wilson’s tenure in Denver.
The Broncos moving on from Wilson is as much a financial decision as it is a football one. The 35-year-old signal caller is well beyond his prime, but would probably be an upgrade for a couple of teams in 2024.
Fox Sports’ Jason McIntyre thinks he knows two places Russ would fit next season: Atlanta and Tennessee.
“Have to top the list. Bad divisions. Go to one of those 2 divisions. I’m not sure this is about Russ being washed, but financially and drop-off in production made this an easy call,” McIntyre tweeted Wednesday.

The Titans are about to be done with Ryan Tannehill and are likely not sold yet on Will Levis. They also have Malik Willis but could be in the market for another QB this offseason.
As for the Falcons, it seems clear neither Desmond Ridder nor Taylor Heinicke is the future there. Could Atlanta try for another QB in the draft?
It’s possible, but McIntyre is thinking Wilson’s experience and resume will be attractive to both franchises come March.
