Michael Badgley was released for the third time this summer.
The Tennessee Titans signed the kicker earlier this week after getting cut by the Washington Commanders. On Sunday, the Titans let him go.
Tennessee also waived defensive back L.J. Davis, wide receiver, Gavin Holmes, guard Zack Johnson, center James Murray, and tight end Justin Rigg.

Badgley began his NFL carousel after three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Titans quickly jettisoned him when missing a field goal in Week 1 of the 2021 campaign, and he played 12 games with the Indianapolis Colts.
A similar situation unfolded last year. The Chicago Bears parted ways with him after one game, but he found another home with the Detroit Lions. Badgley converted all 33 extra points while making 20 of 24 field goals for a team that received putrid kicking earlier in the season.
Detroit still cut Badgley, the presumptive favorite to win the starting job, on July 20. He signed with the Commanders but lost an open battle with Joey Slye.
The Titans gave Badgley another quick look. He made three of four field goals — missing a 39-yarder — in Friday’s preseason finale against the New England Patriots.
Tennessee’s quick hook is particularly notable because the team rosters no other kicker.
