The Tennessee Titans rallied to pull off an improbable road upset over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. Mike Vrabel’s mood quickly shifted late in the fourth quarter.
With nearly six minutes remaining in a tie game, Titans cornerback Eric Garror muffed a punt return. He could have let the ball go with a Dolphins player right there, but his last-second decision to field it gave Miami possession inside the red zone.

ESPN’s broadcast showed Vrabel talking to Garror on the sideline following the mishap. He appeared to tell his player, “I don’t give a f***.”

Garror’s gaffe looked like a potentially game-costing miscue. The Dolphins used the shortened field to score on a go-ahead Raheem Mostert touchdown. Will Levis fumbled on the first play of Tennessee’s next drive, and Mostert found the end zone again to give Miami a 27-13 lead with 4:34 remaining.
Levis responded by leading a nine-play, 75-yard scoring drive in less than two minutes. A successful two-point conversion decreased the deficit to six.
Miami quickly gave Tennessee the ball back after a three-and-out. Levis only needed 26 seconds before throwing a 36-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins.
Since Vrabel wisely went for two on the previous score, the Titans took the lead on an extra point. Had they missed the earlier two-point try, they could have gone for two again to even the score.
“We did a lot of things that were going to cost us, obviously,” Vrabel told reporters after the game. “The turnovers, the mistakes, but we did more positive things late. … I’m really proud of these guys.”
The Titans gave the Dolphins their first home loss in their first road victory of 2023. Monday’s late meltdown could cost Miami a chance to secure the AFC’s No. 1 seed, or potentially even the division.
While the 5-8 Titans are likely still out of the playoff hunt, they’ll look to keep playing spoiler when hosting the Houston Texans this Sunday.
