NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – As all eyes turn to Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, let’s take a blast to the past to look at the championship parade that brought Nashville together to support the Tennessee Titans.
It was 24 years ago when Music City hosted a parade to celebrate the Titans AFC Championship win following the 1999 season.
In attendance were players who would go down in the Titans history such as Steve McNair, Kevin Dyson and Terry Killens, who will also officiate Super Bowl LVIII.
While the Super Bowl game ended in a heartbreaking loss against the St. Louis Rams, this was still a memorable moment for Nashville and the franchise.
The Titans trip to Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 is made all the more special by the fact that the two-toned blue hasn’t made it back there since.
This year, the stage has been set for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers as they battle for the Lombardi trophy at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The biggest game of the year will air Sunday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. on CBS.
