We’re just a few days away from the NFL trade deadline and the Tennessee Titans look to be sellers leading up to Tuesday. But they had a message for all-world running back Derrick Henry beforehand.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Titans informed Henry that they do not plan on trading him. The Titans received no shortage of inquiries about the two-time NFL rushing champion, but will be keeping him for the remainder of the season.
Henry recently passed the legendary Earl Campbell for the second-most rushing yards in franchise history. He is now less than 1,300 yards from surpassing Eddie George as the top rusher in team history and from the 10,000-yard rushing club.
Henry is a beloved player in Tennessee and looks to be a part of the team’s present – whatever that may be.

Whether or not Derrick Henry is going to be a part of the Titans’ long-term future might hinge on how the rest of this season plays out.
The Titans are heading into a major crossroads with their quarterback and have the second-most cap space in the league next year. There’s plenty of opportunities for them to plug every single hole on their team if they play their cards right.
