Will Levis is ready to take a big leap in 2024.
The Tennessee Titans quarterback started the season as a backup but wound up playing nine games after Ryan Tannehill got hurt. He finished the season as the starter after compiling 1,808 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions.
He’s hoping that the Titans get their return on investment for this season.
“It definitely leaves a little bit of a chip on my shoulder and makes me want to go out there and work and keep showing people that teams might have made a mistake by not taking me,” Levis told SI’s Albert Breer, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “Hopefully I’m that guy that they talk about that did slip, and I can be that example for other kids that are in that same position in the green room like me. I’m trying to prove this organization right.”
Levis enters the 2024 season as the starting quarterback and will have a new head coach in Brian Callahan. Callahan has experience working with a great quarterback after serving as the Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator for the last four years.
He got to work with Joe Burrow and develop him into one of the five best quarterbacks in football.
He’ll bring that expertise to Nashville and help Levis take the next step in his development.
