Even though the Tennessee Titans have nothing to play for over the next two weeks, quarterback Will Levis still wants to end the season on a high note.
Levis is hoping to play against the Houston Texans on Sunday after he had to miss this past weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. He’s been battling an ankle injury and wasn’t ready to play after he was limited in practice last Friday.
He was back on the practice field on Wednesday and wants to get back on the playing field in just a few days. He’s hoping that the Titans can win their next two games so they don’t have a bad taste in their mouths heading into next season.
“I just want to play ball,” Levis said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “I just want to go out there and win games and leave this season with a good taste in our mouth. We’ve had some tough losses.”
The Titans enter Sunday’s game at 5-10 overall and are trying to play spoiler on the Texans, who are 8-7 and in the thick of the AFC playoff race.
Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET.
