Will Levis is officially out for Sunday’s game.
The Tennessee Titans listed the rookie quarterback as inactive ahead of their Week 16 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Levis was listed as questionable after injuring his ankle during last weekend’s overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

A candidate to go early in this year’s draft, Levis fell to the Titans at pick No. 33. He immediately dazzled when replacing Tannehill in Week 8, throwing four touchdowns in his NFL debut.
Levis has 1,792 passing yards, eight touchdowns, four interceptions, and an 85.3 quarterback rating through eight games. The 24-year-old looks like a long-term option under center.
Last Sunday’s loss eliminated Tennessee from playoff contention, so there’s little to gain by playing Levis at anything below 100 percent. On the other hand, Tannehill receives another opportunity to potentially end his Titans tenure on a brighter note.
Tannehill, who resurrected his career when replacing Marcus Mariota in 2019, is in the final season of a $118 million contract extension. The 35-year-old could be auditioning for another NFL opportunity after posting two touchdowns and a 71.9 quarterback rating through seven games earlier this season.
“I just want to go out if I have the opportunity and play well to get a win,” Tannehill said earlier this week, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport. “You have to find some reason to go out there and bring passion and bring energy. Right now, I play for my teammates, my family, and myself.”
Sunday’s game between the Titans and Seahawks starts at 1 p.m. ET.
